LOUP POWER DISTRICT
Loup Power District provides economic development services to Columbus and area communities in Boone, Colfax, Nance, and Platte Counties and the City of Newman Grove in Madison County. The core mission of the District’s Economic Development department is the support of companies who ship products, services, information, and knowledge to outside the four county area and return capital (revenues) back to the communities. Its services are grounded in three basic economic development principles: recruitment of new companies; retention and expansion of current companies; and technical assistance to new and growing companies.

NEDED is the lead economic development agency for Nebraska, emphasizing growing and diversifying the state’s economic base and bringing new dollars into the state.

NEDA is an association of professional economic developers dedicated to the prosperous growth of Nebraska’s business climate. NEDA’s purpose is to foster economic development in Nebraska, encourage the advancement of the expertise of its members, foster cooperation among economic development professionals, and to afford professional economic developers a vehicle for assembly and collective expression.

NPPD is Nebraska’s largest electric utility. NPPD’s Economic Development Team partners with NPPD’s retail division and wholesale customers concentrating on positioning communities and regions for economic growth, assisting with the expansion and retention of existing industry, and attracting new business.
